The OEM cold side intercooler pipe on the 2020-2024 L5P Duramax is functional, but far from optimal. Constructed from rubber, the stock tube is vulnerable to heat, pressure, and age-related degradation. This often leads to splits or leaks, reducing performance and risking turbocharger damage.
